Breach the walls

You slipped in unnoticed,

Through a tiny crack –

in the walls I’d so carefully kept.

Took up your space,

In a heart unbroken –

Unphased by its limitations.

Then left chaos in your wake,

as you tore down those walls,

and left behind a gaping void –

in a heart now framed in jagged edges.

But I can’t rebuild walls no longer there,

Because you took the pieces with you.

Dissappeared into the darkest of nights

and left me alone in my shattered castle.

  1. Every word you write is a rebuild…
and those who have stormed your castle will not see the bridges and towers and treehouses and cathedrals and ships and starships that your words can build.
